Romaric and Intel Join Forces to Revolutionize Factory Automation

Romaric, a company of camLine Group and part of Elisa IndustrIQ, is excited to announce a transformative partnership with Intel. This collaboration aims to make factory operations smarter and more efficient by integrating Romaric’s robust material handling software with Intel’s advanced factory solutions.

Manufacturers are increasingly facing challenges like bottlenecks in material handling, a lack of real-time data for decision-making, and inefficient use of resources. These issues highlight the need for advanced solutions that offer high-accurate simulations, and real-time optimization to boost productivity and competitiveness.

The integration of the four products—Intel® Factory Pathfinder, Intel® Factory Recon, RACE MCS™ Material Control System, and RES-Q™ Factory Emulator, creates a comprehensive solution for both planning and real-time optimization in high-volume manufacturing.

Intel® Factory Pathfinder drives optimization of operations such as routing and scheduling, providing critical data to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that directly informs the decisions made by the material control system, RACE MCS™. Known for its unique interoperability, RACE MCS™ precisely manages material flow across a variety of systems, ensuring seamless operations. Intel® Factory Recon enhances this ecosystem by offering detailed visualization and real-time monitoring, which facilitates smooth execution and timely adjustments. RES-Q™ plays a crucial role in achieving the highest level of accuracy by emulating real-world conditions, allowing for thorough validation and testing before implementation. Together, these products create a highly integrated, accurate, and efficient system that minimizes risks and significantly enhances operational performance.

"Our partnership with Intel addresses the limitations of traditional materials transportation simulation methods, which often lack accuracy due to the absence of real-world production MCS algorithms and data in simulation modeling," said Rory Gagon, CEO of Romaric. "By combining real-world control system, RACE MCS™, with digital twin environment, RES-Q™, as well as Intel’s advanced factory solutions, we achieve highly accurate simulation results. This collaboration provides our customers with a reliable, high-precision tool that significantly improves operational performance and productivity."

Bryan Ng, CEO of camLine, added, “We combine our strengths to equip manufacturers with tools that provide scalability for future growth. Our vision at camLine and Elisa is to lead the industry in innovation, and this collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering solutions that adapt to evolving industry demands, giving our customers a competitive edge in a rapidly changing market.”

As the first activity in this partnership, Intel and Romaric will present “Integrating Digital Twins for Factory Simulation and Throughput Optimization” at the upcoming camLine forum 2024. The event will be held on September 11–12, 2024, at the International Congress Center Dresden (ICD), Germany.
