The universal control unit PCAN-MicroMod FD ECU is designed for the integration of customer-specific accessories in automotive applications. For this purpose, the device has been equipped with a CAN FD connection and a mix of analog and digital I/Os. The I/O processing and message transmission can be individually configured with a Windows program via the CAN bus. The robust housing with two automotive connectors allows the use in commercial and heavy duty vehicles under rough conditions. In addition, the PCAN-MicroMod FD ECU can be switched to use the communication standards SAE J1939 and J1939 FD, which are common in commercial vehicles. PEAK-System will soon provide the needed alternative J1939 firmware for all PCAN-MicroMod FD products free of charge.
Furthermore, the company will show the new, programmable sensor module PCAN-GPS FD. Modern sensors such as a satellite receiver, a magnetic field sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a gyroscope determine position and orientation. The incoming data can then be processed with the integrated microcontroller based on Arm Cortex-M4 and transmitted via CAN or CAN FD. With the help of the provided development package, the behavior of the sensor module can be programmed for specific applications.
PEAK-System can be visited at the embedded world 2023 in hall 1 at booth 304.
